Job Description

We are seeking Technical Assistants to join our Histology team. If you are passionate about histology and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive learning culture, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital area of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and maintaining automated lab instruments (e.g., Xpress, Peloris).
  • Prepare and manage routine lab items such as ice, reagents, and consumables.
  • Check and record daily fridge temperatures and maintain general lab cleanliness.
  • Assist with specimen handling, storage, and lab organisation.
  • Complete daily and weekly maintenance tasks (e.g., formalin changes, equipment cleaning).
  • Other ad hoc laboratory tasks as directed from senior lab staff

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a laboratory environment
  • Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team
  • Previous lab experience or scientific studies (e.g., biology, medical science) is advantageous but not essential
  • Basic computer literacy
