Job Description

We are currently seeking Technical/Scientific Officers with a strong interest or background in grossing to join our Histology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume, high-quality lab where your grossing skills can truly make an impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Specimen Reception & Grossing – Accurately verify specimen details, prepare specimens for processing, and conduct precise gross dissection in accordance with protocols.
  • Embedding & Microtomy – Embed tissues with proper orientation, ensure section quality, and troubleshoot artefacts.
  • IHC & Special Stains – Perform routine IHC and special staining while maintaining quality control.
  • Frozen Sections: Perform intraoperative frozen sections, ensuring rapid and accurate tissue processing.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in histology, particularly grossing or specimen cut-up (embedding, microtomy, and IHC is beneficial but not required.)
  • Flexibility to work rostered full time shifts across Monday to Sunday, both AM and PM shifts.  
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed based on business demand.
  • A detail-oriented, organized, and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
