About the Role
We’re currently seeking Pathology Collectors to join our mobile COVID-19 response team. In this role, you'll be on the frontline of community testing — providing compassionate, professional care while ensuring COVID-19 swabs are collected and processed accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nasal and throat swabs (COVID-19) in line with clinical protocols
- Greet patients and verify identification and pathology request forms
- Accurately label, handle, and document specimens
- Travel between various sites across metropolitan NSW
- Follow infection control procedures and wear PPE correctly at all times
- Communicate clearly and calmly with patients
- Collaborate with collection, laboratory, and admin teams to maintain smooth operations
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in pathology collection, healthcare, aged care, or customer service (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical procedures
- Own vehicle and willingness to travel (may require long-distance driving)
- Confident working independently and managing patient interactions
- Comfortable wearing PPE and being on your feet for extended periods
- Flexibility with working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and rotating shifts
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including boosters as required
