The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Laboratory Supervisor to manage daily operations in our high-volume laboratory. You’ll lead a skilled team, optimise workflows, and ensure accurate, timely results. In this role, you’ll drive operational excellence, support staff, and keep the lab running smoothly. Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely turnaround of work.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and performance management to a team of laboratory technicians, Scientists, and support staff.
- Plan, prioritise, and allocate workloads to maintain productivity in a high-volume environment.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and laboratory protocols.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintain inventory, manage ordering of supplies, and control operational budgets where required.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Partner with senior management and stakeholders to improve processes and achieve goals.
